Lead acid battery charging A lead acid battery is fully charged when it reads 14.5 volts + on charge at room temperature. Leave to stand for 24 hours after charging complete and check the voltage again. Refer to table opposite for charge status of battery. Recharge battery after each flying session |

| Some questions have been raised about the size and colour of the frequency flag for transmitters. The BMFA recommends that for the 35 MHz band, the pennant should be orange, approximately three inches by two inches, with black or white numbers, one inch minimum height. |
